Hardly. It shows the debt ran up under R presidents and went down under Dem presidents. It shows the much touted fiscal responsibility of the Rs is a lie and a joke. That's why you want to believe the chart is meaningless.

This dumbass SD claimed Clinton "worked off debt". It is a lie. The national debt did not decrease ONE SINGLE YEAR under Clinton.

Not one year.

The link you keep posting doesn't even address the point.


It went down as a percent of GDP. Compared to what the Rs did with the debt, that's a huge improvement!

Here's the CBO data showing the debt held by the public going down for 4 years in a row: cbo.gov

Now you can dispute the CBO data if you want, but the undeniable fact is the Clinton years were infinitely more fiscally responsible than the Bush years. The data on that couldn't be more clear.
