Lindy - we have gone financially nuts! In my race horse analogy the amount of extra weight being added to the horse is staggering. To expect the horse to run - as in a growth economy - is the height of stupidity. The revenue killing aspects of the Obama onslaught are staggering. The new deficit forecasts - if honest - will be really staggering.

Do you know when we can expect the mid year budget review data? How will we know that ole rosy scenario is not being dictated?

Bob

Have we all lost sight of what we really want as far as medical care/insurance/costs/ is concerned?

I don't believe that Obama and his wonks even have looked at the basics.

First, I think most of us will acknowledge that our Medical Care is the finest in the world….People come here from all over the world to get it.

The real problem is the cost.

And right along with the cost, is people who haven't for whatever reason, have chosen NOT to have, as a minimum, a catastrophic medical insurance for themselves and their families.

What we should be doing is having open Congressional meetings that speak to the various issues. Have several different issues, and pick names from the several hats as people to come to tell Congress why they don't have it, and who they want to pay for care if they can not pay for themselves, should they become sick.

Part of adult responsibility is being responsible for yourself and your family if you chose to have a family. The taxpayer does NOT, and should NOT have the obligation to pay for everyone else who makes faulty decisions,

WHY doesn't the Government itself (the Taxpayers) seek out insurance companies to provide a BASIC Health Care Insurance with no frills, but good care with the lowest cost possible premiums, and add that insurance to any people who are on welfare. If the people themselves want extra services other than for the emergencies that come up in life, there could be additional packages they could provide for themselves. This would be a good deal cheaper than the current programs being bantered about.

Obama talks about personal responsibility. Then why doesn't he insist that everyone start acting like adults and stop thinking someone else owes them a living and care when they are ill.
