I don't think that I ever said he was just as bad as his son. I think I said that between them they destroyed the Republican party. I think Bush Sr and for that matter Jr. are probably nice guys, but Reagan left a legacy and instead of building on it and moving toward freedom, they went the other way. It reached the point where there was no distinction between Clinton and the Bushes.

Most people object to the son based on the war, but the truth is we don't yet know how history will judge him on that issue.

My problem with them is that in the battle between the individual and the state, they chose the state.
