I know. In addition, it's projected that we'll be a majority Hispanic country in a few decades as well, unless we open the spigots to immigrants from Europe, India and China, which is what I would do if I was in charge.

It's sad to say, but I think this country is facing forces of decline that give us only a slim probability of overcoming in the decades to come. Escalating debt. Insistence on addiction to oil. Changing demographics. The rise of China. Our obsession with the Middle East in our foreign policy. Insistence on signing free trade deals that are fair to everyone else but Americans. Irreconcilable differences between the left and right in this country. An educational system that produces more morons than intellectuals. A health care system that is draining the lifeblood out of our budgets and solutions that look even worse than the existing plans. Lawmakers that spend more time listening to lobbyists than to the American people.

Whew. It's ugly out there.
