I too look forward to Coinstar units being installed in banks ... because that's the logical place people think about money and change.

I know several people who are aware that the Coinstar machine is in their supermarket ... and think it's a good idea ... but haven't used it yet because it just slips their minds to tote their change along for a food shopping trip. A trip to the BANK, though, that's another matter. That's where people are accustomed to bringing their change. And put it right into their accounts.

I also think the charity association is a brilliant one ... think about all the coins charitable associations must count and roll ... the "fee" for using Coinstar machines to do all that work surely will be worth it. Coinstar could reduce the percentage for charities and get some good PR out of the deal, as well. Include Coinstar messages in coin collecting efforts and you've got lots more good exposure. Heck, set up a machine somewhere purely to gather loose change for a charity!

I believe this will be a winner ... I'm disappointed to have watched some of my early profits disappear, but I'm in it for the long haul.
