It totally depends on the community college. I taught at one where the students were pathetically ill-equipped. And another where they were as good as university students. And I've taught university students who don't give a shit, too.

It just depends on the school. That's about all you can say.

The class size is MUCH smaller, with students receiving individual attention, not from some harried teaching assistant, but from the instructor, who usually has actual real-life experience in the subject they're teaching.

You're right. I had to take some CC courses so I could meet the requirements for getting into the Master's program. The instructors are much more attentive and available but then the people attending CC tend to need it.
