They've guaranteed a $Trillion+ bunch of CDO's based on home and car loans that are worth half of what was guaranteed (or less).

That money's gone. But it let the banksters hire back the mad gamblers that caused this mess (and go back to paying them bonuses for doing so).

I would like to hear a rational explanation of how $700B could possible turn around the economic factors cites above.
