If you think that I think Madoff represents capitalism, you have it wrong. I think Madoff represents what unfettered capitalism can result in. Yes, its small potatoes compared with the theft of the world's oligarchs, who feast in an unequal contest on the misfortune and labours of the great unwashed who don't have the inside connections. It might not be theft, legally speaking, such as Madoff's, but its definitely not a level playing field is it? You must be particularly gleeful at what Goldman Sachs has achieved. Its easy to say Madoff doesn't represent capitalism. Goldman Sachs doesn't represent capitalism or the Russian Oligarchs don't represent capitalism. But they exist under capitalism. Regardless which system, socialist, communist or capitalist, somehow crooks thrive, and if someone points out some inequities under capitalism for example, its not because they are communists. What is one supposed to do, say nothing at all? Or worse yet, cheer them on? I won't bother posting the warning given in speeches to the American people by Presidents regarding who controls the money supply and the Federal Reserve. But of course, you will say that is not capitalism either. Maybe your vision of capitalism doesn't exist anywhere?
