I read a post a bit back about a STOCK BUY BACK announced but I can't find this news anywhere, If this is true were gonna fly tommorow BIG TIME like INTC and IBM today.

Hi freeus (did you find your $2 stock you were looking for on the FTEL thread let me know, I plan to retire along with you :) The answer to your question depends on which trader you're using. Typically, the amount you've margined will show as a cash negative in your account balance. You're remaining margin buying power should be there as well. If you've got none left you're on border and they'll call on those margins if markets deeps too far. I hope I'm correct on all this, you best verify with your broker.

freeus - with my E*trade account, they delineate the margin call ! It is definitely evident. If you do get a margin call do answer the call or the broker has the right (read the fine print in your agreement with them) to sell your stock outright !!!!

With times being what they are - severe volatility I chose to reduce the amount I was on margin ! Hated to do it but just being careful I guess. I think the market is going to go lower or at least stay in a trading range of 6900 to 7400 on the Dow. I am waiting to jump back in on another pullback !
