I think the argument against advertising is to avoid collusion among doctors - and an increase in prices. Something along those lines. Stupid reasoning. Agree - price competition and advertising would be a sensible and normal way to go.

Is it illegal. They advertise the cost for laser eye surgery all the time in my community. Also, interesting is that I understand a lot of plans don't pay for it and the price has been steadily dropping.
