Someone mentioned Amy a few posts back and I have a story about her that I love to tell.

She, along with her granddaughter and granddaughter's friend came over to visit me on my boat in Avalon, Catalina a few years back. The girls were bending over the side of the boat looking at the fish - you can see to the bottom, 30' down - when her friend's new glasses slipped off and fell into the water. She was quite alarmed because her mother had warned her not to break or lose her new glasses.

I contacted a couple of the divers and they wanted some astronomical amount to suit up and go down and collect the glasses. So Amy grabbed my fishing pole, attached a little hook and dropped it overboard and fished the glasses right off the bottom after just one try. We were all very proud of her.
