Why do people in the US go to India for equally good medical treatment?

Actually, it has been the exact OTHER WAY AROUND, increasingly, for the last decade or so!

Or have you never heard of "medical tourism"???????????

Middle Class Americans booking tickets to India, or Ecuador, or Thailand, or Taiwan, etc., etc., etc. to have procedures (quality care, with the latest technologies and personal nurses and such... in pleasing surroundings) that they CAN NO LONGER AFFORD to have in America.

Hip replacement surgery for Americans is a huge growth industry in Bangalore and Bangkok, and several other locations.

Quality care at 1/10 to 1/3 the going rate in the US.
