Yes, but the opposite also holds true as there is no deduction for capital losses. In that sense it's like an RRSP and needs to be traded like an RRSP. Most people I know use their TFSA for "safer" / dividend paying investments. If used for "flyers", there should be pretty tight stops. JMHO
