22 July Grey Fox phase II exploration program. See complete news release.

"Apollo plans to start the Grey Fox drilling project in early August 2009. The initial target is 14,000 meters of core. We anticipate the core drilling program will continue into 2010.

Richard Nanna, Senior Vice President–Exploration, said “We had great success in our 2008 drilling program in identifying new gold zones at Grey Fox. In further advancing the Grey Fox project, our core drilling program for 2009 will have two main objectives: 1) We intend to drill the ‘Contact Zone’ to a measured and indicated resource status and we intend to explore in detail the ‘Calcite Zone,’ and 2) We plan to expand the DPFZ along strike and down dip and to expand the ‘Contact Zone’ down dip and along strike. We have a lot of exciting exploration to complete and we are anxious to get started.”

Reminder the Calcite Zone is where the 13 oz hole #10 was located. Was about 3 meters true width.

Will be interesting to see how well Apollo keeps market informed of the progress of this exciting program. The first phase during which the new discovery was made was 3,000 meters so 14,000 meters is going to really prove or disprove the potential of Grey Fox.
