Stu, I would only add one more point. Have the financial ability available to come up with addition $$ when the margining firm increases their percentages on you. I had margined in Home Depot once and fidelity increase the minimum holding amount from 30 to 40% when a margin call was made. Fortunately, I had the resources to meet the increase. With AMAT I probably would not margin unless i perceived amat was at on near the bottom. Yes, I would not margin with amat at these $$$ amounts. The downside risk of the upside/downside risk is still to risky for me. Paul V
