Since so little of the stimulus was spent and we are barely seeing any impact yet, to me the idea of stopping it or adding to it is absurd. It could use a more timely deployment for the funds already authorized, that's clear. And with state budgets hurting so badly, why not "bail them out" with block grants from the stimulus? The states would spend the money right away on urgent needs.

There must be an answer to that but I have not been following that closely.
