If a Bush SC nominee came in with Sotomayor's resume, they would have been praised to the skies as God's gift to jurisprudence and the most experienced jurist ever sent to the court. That's why most of this spin is just disposable vaporware, vented by those who lost any connection to real power when their politicians bit the dust.

Rambi - do you believe a Hispanic or Latino person, simply because of their racial identity is better able to adjudicate the law? Do you believe when a test is given for a specific position, quota's should be set aside where winners from various racial backgrounds should be selected? Do you believe as a society, we should select Supreme Court nominees based on their racial identity, when others who are far more qualified are available? Do you believe Judge Sotomayor was selected for any reason other than race?
