"BCB--just curious--since you have no dog in this fight why do you care so much?" H'mm no dog in this fight? Well I am old enough that I likely will not see the demise that is coming. I have had the opportunity to do my working years in a growth economy and did well. I should be fine. But then there are such things as children and grand children. They are here with us on vacation. It is great to see the generations. No dog in the fight? Surely that question needs analysis. I see a demagogue leading the country with the normal checks and balances gone for perhaps 18 months. I see the demagogue taking his opportunity before the next election to scare the hell out of people to implement change - such change that it is not even read before it is voted on. After all - "a crisis is too good of a thing to waste"! Yup - change we can believe in. An end to the bad policies of the Bush years. Always remember - it is possible to go from bad to worse. We have gone from bad to worse. Perhaps the Senate will impose some sanity - like reading the legislation - before it becomes law. After all - we were promised transparency and time to review all legislation - right? Everyone on this board should be outraged at the process and procedures currently operating in Washington - no matter which side of the spectrum they are on. Bob
