What's the deal with that?

They cut the Doctors a very flush deal on fees to get the AMA to go along. Completely cynical and raises the hell out of the cost.

My reply is a little different than LindyBill's.. The AMA is a left wing group and doesn't represent all/ most Dr's. Just like the the UAW's governing bunch doesn't necessarily represent the rank and file members.

AMA had even endorsed the unwritten (as yet) Democrat bill earlier this week.

The answer is yes; what was the question? (LOL)

My guess is that AMA spotted an opportunity to become... less irrelevant.
