What's the deal with that? They cut the Doctors a very flush deal on fees to get the AMA to go along. Completely cynical and raises the hell out of the cost.

My reply is a little different than LindyBill's.. The AMA is a left wing group and doesn't represent all/ most Dr's. Just like the the UAW's governing bunch doesn't necessarily represent the rank and file members.
