They only have 4 set up right now....New York, Atlanta , Tampa and another. You will probably have to call long distance to one of these Tempests' for now to try it. I an in NJ....Had to call NY to try it.
Thats OK.....someday it will be local.

Gary

By the way , When I was talking to Frank , He said that 250 DVG's around the country should be about 80% local calls. Not Bad !!!

You can call from any phone anywhere but must dial one of the four cities to get into the system. I assume the calls would then be routed to the closest DVG city to the number that you are calling.

Not sure what the current run rate is but they are turning out DVG's as test units for prospective clients as well as for the 200 POP's for Interine.

RBaron and Pat, Gordie K., Bob and myself questioned Peter Thornton precisely about this "250 by the end of the year" issue and were told by Peter that its definitely not by end of year. Peter stated they are implementing the DVG's at a rate of 20 per month and wasn't precise as to date of completion. All, To post another rehash of debut would be repetitive since its been so ably described by Pat, Elk, Gary, Marvin etc. Instead I will chime in with snippets of info as you folks jog my memory. Regards, Stan.
