Tom, read my direct reply to Faris. I'm confused by what seems to be a shift in his attitudes concerning aipn's future. Others have noted this as well. This is part of the "motivation" question. My take on Faris's position has been that the "big picture" is aipn's presence in Kasakhstan itself.

Kasakhstan = big oil = aipn's concession = the hot place to be.

Not,

Aipn = complete buy out = goodbye Kasakstan = better things elsewhere.

Maybe I am reading too much into this, but why did Faris include this same sequence in a recent post? What motivated the posting of this redirection concerning aipn?

As I stated earlier, it is a little tongue and cheek, which may lessen any intent. But don't think that I have the opinion that Faris is anything but an avid supporter of aipn.
