WOW...you mean like most Americans...
over the counter
under the counter
Over the bar
over the counter of liquor stores
Kids on Prozac
Cancer patients on massive quantities of prescriptions
it's AMERICA one way or the other
legalize it
get rid of the MAFIA
get rid of the TALIBAN
keep democracy alive by saying NO to MONEY and DRUGS
tax it
and get over it
uk.reuters.com
more people die from alcohol related death than any other
hands down..let alone the families destroyed by it...
the women beaten by it's influence

I don't care that those guys do drugs. They don't seem to be hurting anyone with their party habits. People can do whatever they want to get into the frame of mind they want as far as I'm concerned. I would be fine with legalization too, even though tea or coffee is the limit for me. My recommendation if any body asked (nobody does) would be not to do drugs. The biggest problem I have with it is making drug use a test of fellowship for membership in broader lifestyle and culture. Then it becomes cult like by pressuring people to get involved in things that aren't good for them, just to fill the belongingness need. People who think its good for everybody else to be stoned, or drunk, are simply wrong. People do all kinds of things they regret under the influence of drugs and some of those are devastating to lives. Whatever you ingest should be a personal and educated choice...with responsible parental guidance for children of course. JMO

FWIW, I have worked with teens who move in the drug culture and was surprised when I gave a writing assignment about the future, that some of them, the druggie kids, would design a future with no drugs. They were probably children of guys just like that. The straight kids were the least likely to even bring it up in their stories. They were all just asked to write a back to the future type story, there was no guidelines from me about drugs or anything.
