Bruce and All -

Helen has stated that she is waiting to talk to Frank directly in order to make a clarifying statement about the confusion on SI over the IPO. She said for us not to expect an update on this subject until he gets back to the office.

Additional FTEL status:

1. FTEL plans to deploy 250 units ASAP in the continental U.S.
The complete installation is targeted for Q4/97. Current orders and
eval units may impact this deliverable.

2. FTEL is still in the Quiet Period.

3. The hope is that the S-1 will go active in November.

One other comment I will quote from Helen is:

"I hope Raleigh is right and this week's blood-bath will be
followed by dramatic gains next week. This could actually work to our
advantage, since that will be fresh on the heels of our participation at Computer Telephony in Orlando."

Thank you Helen for keeping us updated!

Cheers,

George
