JD's Gals, Pants, Talent, and Assorted Other Digital Thingies

<< John's a seriously flawed human being, and that's probably why so many love him. Kind of like Dr. Id. >>

Is there any truth to the rumor that the 2 have adjoining couches in someone's office?

<< Quite a talent, too. >>

He (i.e. JD, and obviously not the good Doctor) really does have talent. He's about a lot more than 'grip it and rip it.' He's pretty darned good with the skill shots -- including those out of the sand -- when he focuses, which unfortunately is not often enough. I had him on my top 5 picks list for THE Open this year. One obvious pick didn't make the cut. At 6 off the pace, John came in 2nd on my list of picks which cost me a sawbuck in a local pool.

Changing the subject: With our cycle and powerboat years well behind us (at least mine are) and U now being into advanced digital photography -- I'm into other digital thingies (although I do have a couple high end Canon PowerShots in my photog bag, which is likely as high end as I'll ever get, and I do have a great PowerShot instructional DVD that's really a fine reintroduction to the more advanced photography features of them critters). BTW (and although we shouldn't get to serious here): the dragonfly on antenna shots U recently took were fantastic, and outdid your hummingbird fetish. I'm glad to see you've finally mastered something other than marriage.

I recently completed unloading ~750 CD's from their carousels and Case Logic wallets, ripping them to my hard drive(s) and backing up to externals, and refiling in carousels and travelling cases after. I'm now about to start converting the best of my 700 unit VCR collection to DVD on a trio of recently purchased refurbed Samsungs before moving on to converting large music collections on vinyl to my hard drive using yet another new turntable, my 3rd active, preamp and software.

Rather than starting with 4 and 5 star movies from the 20's forward I'm starting with sporting events, with golf (several of the majors including THE '95 Open, Jacks '87 Masters, Tiger's early wins, and Payne's triumph at Hazeltine and a dozen great instructionals) and boxing from its 50's forward glory days at the top of the priority list.

I don't buy many CDs or DVDs anymore but I did just acquire a 5 disc DVD set of the Steelers Super Bowl victories by NFL Films. Superb! Their Niners smaller set is probably likewise good,
