-T- : The firesale I went after was the Mar5 call pricing. At one point, they were proposing to sell 'em at 2 1/16 - 2 1/4! But, alas, no cigar, and it distracted me from the simple & proper course: buying the shares in the 6's. Oh well. My hat's off to all the perceptive buyers who created the support today. Let's hope they stay on the case as the Asia jitters continue. Bill

Ticker: Yup, I got lucky and am now "loaded for bear" in my speculative category, with VLNC. I, like everyone else, am looking for good things in '98. My only caution is let's try to keep the board to the facts, and not get too carried away with counting profits before they occur. This way we guard against dashed expectations. Having said that, you name the locale and I'll be there, should our fanciest dreams be realized! Regards! John~
