It made me wonder just how often it is used....The event in Dec was BY far more painful than most things I've experienced, and turns out did need to be surgically fixed...of course, after all the hoops had been gone through the rest of Dec and Jan including stong pain meds...

Surgery in Feb was by far the most dangerous I've had, but was so much easier than I expected...I was admitted for that by the preplanned route, not through emergency. However, the event in June was an emergency and was admitted via regular ER admit within 5 hours....I feel very fortunate that the surgeon who was on standby for 4 days didn't have to apply his wares...Six and a half days later, I could go home....And have been OK since. (knock wood)

One just never knows what is going to happen...that one came out of the blue. Both the Feb and June were good experiences while the Dec one was awful. When the CEO came to visit me in June, he knew I had complained in Dec, and I told him that I just hoped the complaint fixed the problems so they didn't cause others the same grief.

Insurance is a necessity today, but even as a young woman, I knew that, so have always been sure to have it. Using the money for something else, never was an option....I must have been an "old soul" and just knew....
