There's always hope.

There's a possibility that both the health bill and energy bill can backfire on Obama, which I'm sure he's aware of and why he's trying so hard to get them passed without any inspection of them. It's always easier to say I'm sorry than to get permission - as it were.

The longer it takes and the more people start asking questions, the less likely they are to pass. It'll go the way of Hillarycare. Then his promises are broken and he becomes more ineffective and weakened.

Once he gets tainted, so does everyone around him - Pelosi, Feinstein and Boxer. Pelosi may keep her seat but will lose the speakership. Feinstein is pretty safe but I think Boxer is very vulnerable. If the racist tag sticks, she's toast.

The GOP is pretty weak in CA. Just need some of the leaders to step forward. CA is gerrymandered to such an extent that it's almost impossible to get incumbents out. Still, I'd like to keep the hope.
