What I see happening is it will be run the same way Medicare is run with the actual administration of it being contracted out to the same companies that are doing that work now. Used to be EDS, CSC and IBM - companies with computer management skills. Insurance companies like Aetna now compete for those type of contracts too. The government won't be administering the programs, private companies will. The government will have a bureaucracy that will have oversight and the responsibility to reimburse the contractor, who will reimburse the doctors/hospitals, etc.

So basically, nothing will change except the government will not only run Medicare, but all the insurance for the rest of the population. They'll end up folding Medicare into the program and reducing coverage for everyone. Eventually, the government will be in charge of everyone's healthcare. They'll have access to your most personal information from cradle to grave - all located in one place. We'll end up with less healthcare services that will cost more and be less efficient. Whatever's wrong with the system now - fraud, waste and abuse - will be multiplied. Healthcare will be rationed as it is in Canada, England, France and Germany. Seniors will be given counseling and some arsenic pills - not too many now, just enough. Or a link to the Wiki page on different suicide methods: en.wikipedia.org

God bless us one and all.
