What's wishful? He failed in his gitmo promise, only to continue the path that Bush already laid out... and people in his own party are now asking questions he can't answer... are these imaginary news reports? Am I dreaming this up or is this factual? It's clearly factual, obama's confidence numbers have now dropped below 50%, this is a lose of confidence, I don't know how else you could describe it... to call it wishful thinking seems a bit curious... sounds like you're beginning to whistle past the graveyard hoping a ghost doesn't jump out and grab you... admit it, obama is struggling to stay above water and he knows it...

"Let's just lay everything on the table," Grassley said. "A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn't going to pass if there weren't some changes made ... and the president says, 'You're going to destroy my presidency.' "

The White House did not respond to requests for comment.
