Yeah, I agree. I don't support a candidate because of "party". But LATELY it seems that ALL candidates come with automatic "branding". If you're gonna vote for a Republican you have to take the WHOLE package and the same with the Democrats. Spector couldn't win as a Republican anymore and Lieberman couldn't win as a Democrat anymore so they had to change their affiliation to have a shot at being reelected. The PRIMARY system is KILLING the Country. To win a primary you have to be way to the left or way to the right so the voters in the general election are just left with "ideologues" when they finally get to vote.
