Yes - I believe I made that statement. Depending on the tone of the debate of the moment the use of term "enemy" may or may not have been appropriate.

The big divide between what I see as almost parallel universes of thought is how wealth is created for use. Bad policy destroys wealth and makes life worse for all no matter how good the policy may feel to the implementers.

I consistently go back to my race horse analogy as it should be easily understood in a large group discussion. You cannot make the horse run faster by adding more weight. As our government adds more and more weight - there can be no surprise that the economy does not or will not function as needed. The coming slow growth economy will devastate future deficit projections - hence the delay in the mid year budget review. Cap and Trade, Card Check (seemingly and hopefully dead), regulations x, y and z. They may all feel good - but they are destructive to the national welfare if they are not somehow balanced with other incentives.

The above is the issue of our day. Feel good big government will not work.
