Which motivates them to do the best job they can. The government has little motivation.

That's not a reaction out of constitutional principle, either. It's mostly about attitude and territorial imperative.

It is all about jurisdiction and the fact that the Feds have a habit of overstepping their jurisdiction. The condescending attitude is not as prevalent as you would think. It varies from agent to agent.

I doubt that one American in a thousand has a clue about the constitution and federalism and most of those who know don't consider it a priority.

You have a point there. Obviously you don't have a clue.
