Z, > The Republicans have decided that the bill must fail, no matter what. They did that in 1993, as well. They want no reform.

It's going to be hard to argue that anything was better than nothing when "anything" turns out to be a lot worse than what people were hoping for.

Besides, if it were that easy to simply pass the bill with no GOP support, Obama and the Dems would have done it already.
