While the Governor won't make his itinerary public, he emphasized that his security detail will know where he is at all times. The family had "long planned on a big trip" before his oldest son leaves for college, Sanford said in a news conference. While he thought about canceling the trip due to the media frenzy surrounding his affair, Sanford said that wouldn't be fair to his family. After all, his sons had been raising money for the trip. "Everyone of them had to pay for a part of it," Sanford said, adding that his kids had hauled in hundreds of dollars from lemonade stands. Wow, that's some serious fiscal discipline.
