So lets wrap this up. This post seems to be the source of the problem.

His order sold SGY and PQ (and held PAL). Accidentally I sold SGY and PAL (and held PQ). So it's my boo boo.

So.......if he sold SGY and PQ as ordered on July 10th, then we would have:

Patrick Slevin
Stock Price Shares Value Cost … Change
PQ $2.85 8.125 $23.16 $4.73 -40%
SGY $6.70 2.987 $20.01 $7.67 -13%
PAL $2.14 14.447 $30.92 $2.66 -20%
Patrick Slevin Total = $74.09

becomes

Patrick Slevin
Stock Price Shares Value Cost … Change
Cash $1.00 42.738 $42.74 $1.00 0%
PAL $2.14 14.447 $30.92 $2.66 -20%
Patrick Slevin Total = $73.65
That should have been his position on the morning of 7/11.

The he placed an order to use his cash to buy EP and PQ on the 7/17 close, 50-50 split with cash.

so he should have begun this week with

Patrick Slevin
Stock Price Shares Value Cost … Change
Cash $1.00 42.738 $42.74 $1.00 0%
PAL $2.14 14.447 $30.92 $2.66 -20%
Patrick Slevin Total = $73.65

becomes

Patrick Slevin
Stock Price Shares Value Cost … Change
EP $9.41 2.271 $21.37 $9.41 0%
PQ $3.23 6.616 $21.37 $3.23 0%
PAL $2.14 14.447 $30.92 $2.66 -20%
Patrick Slevin Total = $73.65
I think that's Patrick Slevin's correct portfolio (as of last weekend).

I don't think Patrick should be assessed a $2 penalty, he didn't do anything wrong, I just put his 7/10 trade in incorrectly, and didn't put his 7/17 trade in at all. I guess we could penalize him just for the hell of it and to make it look like my error was his fault, but the poor guy is almost in last place, so now that everything is hopefully hunky dory we can just let things roll into the home stretch and see how is going to be the winner.....
