this one is obscure for some reason... but the lyrics are classic, drawing on many facets of american... how you say... the things that in words bind us... our american story... it all comes back to the river.

You know the Sweethearts of the Rodeo? this is not my fave song by them, but it is up there... and it was Laurie's fave... she was the child of okies who came to Redland, Ca... grew up there wearing a cowboy hat and speaking with an even deeper accent than moi.
