yeah and the best time to be a value shopper is in the midst of your next stroke, right?

All of us, when we are very young or very old or very sick, go through a period of not being able to make the best decisions about any number of things. And not just about which medicine to take, but what to eat, where to live, etc. The real issue is, when you are in that condition who is it that you are best off allowing to make decisions for you? Frankly I'd go in this order: my closest family members, a chosen friend, a hired professional, a charitable organization I have an association with and then maybe some government entity (dead last). I'd have to live a very long time to run through all of the above to get to government as my only option.

Allowing the government to make important decisions I can't make myself, before all those other trusted relationships are even allowed to weigh in, takes an enormous amount of freedom away from individuals to live their lives the way they see best.
