That's what this thread was created to discuss. Many people here are stuck in one of the universes, but some of us watch both and look for bridges between. It's obvious how stale the rigid Left-Right parroting becomes in a hurry. Yet there are entire threads on SI that do nothing else. Until more people want something else, that's what they will get. Several wingers said this thread could never survive. Four years later, here we are. That's our little contribution to the cause. And since we now have a president with majority support, we'll see if he can hold the center or not. So far, the verdict is mixed but it's way too early IMHO to draw any real conclusions about politics or the economy. Football games aren't called in the first quarter.
