It's the accelerating roles of the unemployed and underemployed who are feeling the pinch. The aging population is probably taking the biggest hit on this one. What has a twenty something lost? They'll be paying later.

and even thought this economy sucks (esp for me) they are doing very well.

my son-in-law's business is doing so well they are looking for investment opportunities.

my son with a degree in computer science and engineering is single and makes more money then he knows what to do with.

my son who does landscaping - well, he's more hand to mouth like his dad, but he isnt on food stamps.
