End of life counseling----what a bunch of crap. Counseling for Muslims-----ah you are about to go, do you see all of those virgins waiting for you. Counseling for Jewish friends-----dance every one dance, finally you are free. Counseling for Christian friends-----which direction do you prefer----up or down----heaven or hell. Cousnseling for Mormon friends-------how many good deeds did you do in your life. Counseling for Catholic friends-----somebody has to save the world----thanks for your help. Counseling for Aethist friends----you are about to see the light. Counseling for my Buddhist friends -----it's only a short journey, see you soon---Karma. This is slow euthanasia ---------In the early 1980's in Virginia we had something called the "Death With Dignity" Bill sponsored by the Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly. Thinking Virginians were successful in delaying that bill for several years-------------finally the General Assembly passed a version that offered the option of Living Wills, directives for the patient to decide in advance whether or not to withold life sustaining treatment------in other words to cut the ventilators off. The Democrats wanted no choice for the patient, they wanted it mandatory. So there was compromise. Regretfully, we are now seeing at the National level what the Virginia Democrats (not thought of as socialist then) envisioned. Welcome to Obama land of Socialism-----the government, who ever they are, will take care of you-----which Obama pill do you want------oops no choice there, the government will decide? mj
