Must have green shoots up their arse and growing in their brain.

Looks crazy to me. Dangerously crazy. Oblivious.

How the fukc can so many people think the economy is recovering and the worst is over?
---
It is not "so many people" who think this.
Where have you heard of green shoots outside the gubbament and media? I watch one business after another struggle and fold. I've seen commercial vacancies rise, but still nowhere near the levels of the early 80's. A long way to go. I experience firsthand everyday the reluctance of consumers to spend.

Nothing but a campaign of confidence to make consumer and business believe we're recovering. The hope is, if it catches on, more spending by businesses and consumers and deeper hole digging pushes the problem further out.

green shoots
all BS from gubbament and parroted by the media
everything else is dispelling.

"How the fukc can so many people think the economy is recovering and the worst is over?"

You don't need a lot of people. All you need is a few programs to juice the averages on low volume and the lemmings will come in. I still haven't heard one shill resolve the paradox of why we drive the market up because those who the market follow (the analysts) were wrong about earnings for 80% of the companies in the SP-500. You have to really work at it to be wrong 80% of the time.

Here's the bull case: inventories are rock bottom, employment levels are darn near as low as they can be, orders are improving, credit is unfrozen, individual and corporate balance sheets are improved. At the moment, nobody sees armageddon and better earnings next year. Does is support SP500 at 980, not sure. A couple of earnings disappointments in two months, and we could drop like a rock.

The worst IS over for now. Perhaps the CRE debt will cause another problem soon.

When Cramer met Stewart, that was this generation's "The End of Equities."
