Steve, yes, the guy from Smith Barney, said he was "fuzzy" on
Faroudja, and asked GJ directly if it would be a mainstream product
application or a niche application. GJ did not answer the question,
plain and simple. Either it was for competitive reasons, or it was due
to uncertainities. It was an obvious evasive manuever by GJ,which concerned several analysts.

Excuse me!! I am not a sophisticated investor. I try to find the sophisticated ones, listen to what they have to say and if it makes sense, go for it. But, why wouldn't Gary Johnson want to be vague and fuzzy-answered with regards to a product in such a highly competitive arean. Leo, if, for example, you and I worked for the same company(I know, I know, I wouldn't work for a company that hired me either!), and we both were competing for the corner office with a view, and I had this fantastic idea that would net the company millions!! of dollars, how smart would it be for me to say to you, "Hey, Leo, I was thinking in a couple of weeks of suggesting to the Boss that we......."?
The analysts can be concerned about the the way money is spent (or not spent), but why, if I was Gary Johnson, would I want to allay their concerns buy saying something like, "Well, gee, if it worries you, I was thinking of thinking of taking the Faroudja resources and buying CRUS for their patents, so that I could come up with the new Mojo-card. Now, keep this all under your hats, because I can't start moving on this for another couple of weeks." Duh!!

Someone was wondering why a certain design win wasn't PR'd by SIII and someone else ranted on about firing them ALL!!! What good do the announcements do? Look back over the last 12-18 months and you'll notice all but 1 or maybe 2 announcements of seemingly good news were immediately followed by a fall in the price of the stock.

If someone should be fired, its the f***ing MM's. At least fired at!!

Well, there's my 2cent rant.

JP

P.S. Damn!! Who knew the market would rebound so fast. I was hoping to get some more at 7 and change.
