Yep.. I agree.. I actually came upon these numbers in June when researching our scant remaining gold reserves.. essentially though as reserves go measured against GDP we are not terribly married to the USD.. but the still very high 70% (down from 80%+ as few as two years ago I believe) foreign trade dependency on the US.. narrows our options .... if we could wrestle that number much lower we'd be FREE(er) :O)

Then again I imagine they would 'print' loonies to buy.. which is why they keep emphasizing the low inflation (actually the much ballyhooed deflation of last month) we have... imagine the searing heat from those over worked presses ... inflation and more anthropogenic global warming LOL
