Orlov's main point in that piece has actually been difficult for many to grasp. Part of the problem may be his writing. If one reads alot about oil-depletion and other resource-depletion collapse models, it's easier to understand. But I think Orlov needs to take another crack at it, because he is actually describing a fairly complex dynamic. Since you did not mention or refer to his main point in your post, it's possible that his point did not get across for you. I don't know. I'd be interested to hear how you understand his model. Again, I think he mucked it up with sarcasm. G
