I think this thread is enough to turn one into a vegetable in due time. The thread has reversely evolved from an informative stock thread to a flame war. This phenomenon is called Devolution. A rock band from Ohio named themselves Devo in honour of that concept. The USA has an economy devolved from robust growth industrial capital economy, giving birth to a wealthy middle class and possessing advantageous world trade, and political alliances flowing therefrom, to a socialist government-managed welfare state. The government has evolved from a representative democracy, albeit torn by many special interests from the start to a rule bound, militarily controlled fascist state, with the largest prison population per capita in the world outside of China and the widest gap between rich and poor on the planet.
