Stop interfering in our lives

If you don't have a living will someone WILL be interfering in your life in ways you may not want. A living will gives you choices while you are able to make them. There is nothing stopping you from specifying that treatments not be discontinued so that the dying process continues as long as possible.

No, the legislation doesn't "promote" it, it FORCES it. Which makes absolutely no sense.

I don't see why you're all bothered about forcing (assuming for the sake of argument that there exists such a strong requirement) medical professionals to tell you your options. I would object to if they were forcing people to sign DNRs but all they're doing is making sure that folks know that that and other options are available.

I have a living will and a medical power of attorney? Don't you? Shouldn't everyone?
