Several years ago my son lost his restored Harley Davidson motorcycle the same way. Cops called him a couple months later to identify parts in a "chop shop" they raided run by a biker gang. He could ID some of the parts because they were from his vintage bike. Foolishly, he had no insurance on it.

I've gotten very wary in my old age about letting strangers in my home. If I have to have a worker in (had to re-tile by shower recently), I make a big deal of taking pictures of their "work" making sure they're in the picture.

When the place was tented for termites, I discovered all my medications had been stolen. This was a few years back when I had a big supply of HRT pills because I stopped taking them - didn't like the side effects. There were no "real" drugs, just stuff for colds - OTC stuff.

I had to chuckle wondering if the thief grew boobs. LOL
