This has been a wonderfully crafted "manufactured rally"

The recipe starts with:

Reversal from predictable head and shoulders pattern

add:

Bullish comments from "market experts", "leading economists", and CNBC talking heads

stir in:

Company earnings that mysteriously "beat" analysts estimates, that were lowered to ridiculous levels
over the past 30 days.

mix with:

More bullish comments from Bernanke, Geithner, Obama et al

throw in some:

Contorted interpretations of highly manipulated economic data

and finally add:

The GS "secret sauce" - battered, breaded, and fried PPT

and - voila!

Economic Recovery!
