GST, health care is a great example of how we are completely unable to get special interest self interest off the table and do what is best for the community. while a simple concept, it has unraveled every nation state when given enough time to do its eroding. as you know, it isn't just docs, it is patients (who sue the first time something goes wrong and the test wasn't given), the insurance industry, populations demanding preferential treatment at the expense of other populations, lawyers, government, etc... obama promised the same plan as congress... they put together a plan congress WILL NOT participate in. they are too good for SERF health care.
