It's more likely a freebie. <I believe he rents it from Harvard. >

It's all very amusing, with three "I am so important - how dare you?" people meeting each other. One, the tenant, two, the arresting policeman, three, the tenant's presidential buddy who racistly jumped into the fray by stereotyping the policeman as a stupid melanin deficient cop hassling and arresting a good guy because he was melanin rich. Ooops, one apology done - a quick and wise retraction.

The other two are too self-important to recognize they got too stroppy. The policeman obviously made an injudicious arrest because the charge was dropped as being unworthy. The tenant was obviously really annoyed and leaped to the incorrect conclusion that because the arresting policeman was white, it was ipso facto a racist investigation and arrest. Note that there was a melanin-rich policeman also there so it was hardly likely to be a racially motivated investigation and arrest.

All good fun and they deserve each other.
